Yana at the SOLON campus

The electric vehicles at the SOLON SE campus show how CO2-free mobility has already become reality: they “fill up” exclusively on solar energy.

Yana makes it possible: a sun-tracking photovoltaic system loads solar energy into a large, modern redox-flow battery, ensuring that energy is always available - even at night or during bad weather. The intelligent charging electronics enable and monitor the vehicle’s recharging process. They also identify who is recharging which vehicle to ensure accurate invoicing.

Yana can recharge all types of electric-powered vehicles. The people on the SOLON campus use electric scooters most of the time to help them weave their way through the city traffic.

At the SOLON headquarters, Yana also allows up to eight electric vehicles to be recharged at the same time. This service has been in operation since the summer of 2009.
