Younicos has completed the installation and commissioning of an upgraded 36-megawatt battery storage system at the site of Duke Energy’s 153 MW Notrees Windpower Project in West Texas.
Younicos awarded by Statoil to provide a 1MW-battery storage system to the world’s first floating wind farm Hywind Scotland. The storage solution project, named Batwind, will be operational from Q2 2018.

Two Singapore led consortiums will test how energy storage systems can be used to integrate renewably generated power on to the city-state’s grid. A RDP-led consortium will use German battery storage company Younicos’ VRFB for a 2MWh test-bed.
